Calorimetric studies of the phase transition in ND4DSeO4 crystals

Description
In order to study the influence of deuteration on the physical properties and phase transitions in ND4DSeO4 (ADSe) crystals specific heat (Cp) measurements were carried out by the aid of a precise adiabatic calorimeter and a scanning microcalorimeter. Thermodynamic parameters of phase transitions for the polar modification and of the polymorphic (orthorhombic-monoclinic) transition between polar and non-polar modifications in AdSe crystals have been determined. A phase diagram [Cp = f (% D)] shows the regions of the ferroelectric, paraelectric, superionic and low temperature polar phases
