Description

Metal ion imprinted polymers offer much higher selectivity than the conventional ion exchange resins. This paper details the imprinted polymers having potential for application in nuclear industry. A cobalt imprinted polymer synthesized for use during decontamination, which exhibited sorption for cobaltous ions whilst excluding ferrous ions from complexing medium is discussed in detail.
