Outlook '98 - Service and Supply

Creators

Description

Prospects in 1998 for the well service and supply sector in Canada''s oilpatch were examined. It was concluded that the relatively good times that the industry experienced during 1996 and 1997, will continue in 1998, not so much by way of expansion but by way of consolidating the gains made in previous years and by focusing on quality of service in order to sustain success. A leveling of the playing field is expected as a result of the recent correction in the stock market that brought prices back to more realistic levels. The service companies that will thrive will be those that go back to their roots and stay focused on what they do best, i.e. maintaining exceptional customer service, taking care of employees, and making a concentrated effort to run a safe operation
