Upper limits for a cross section of charm particle production in K+p interactions at 32 GeV/c

Description

Search of charm particles in the K+p expariment in the Mirabelle bulble chamber with a sensitivity of approximately 27 events/μh at 32 GeV/c is carried out. Upper limits for the partial cross sections D+/D- →(anti K0/K 0) (π+/π-), D0/anti D0 → (anti K0/K0)π+π-, F+ → anti KA K+, Λ sub(c)sup(+) → Λsub(π)sup(+), Λν+π+π-, p anti K0π+π-, p anti K0 and anti A- → ant ΛK0 π- are obtained for different kinematical regions Upper limit (95% confidence leVel) for partial cross section Λsub(c)Sup(+) → p anti K0π+π- for <-0.5, found to be 0.6 μb, is compared with the result of the experiment at the BIS-2 spectrometer on Λsub(c)sup(+) production for x>0.5 in n12C collisions at 40-70 G:eV/c
