Modification of the quasi-phonon nuclear model and effect of particle-particle interactions on nuclear properties

  • 1. Joint Inst. for Nuclear Research, Dubna (USSR)

Description

A review of the papers devoted to some aspects of the the Quasiparticle-Phonon Nuclear Model (QPNM) modifications has been presented. The use of the QPNM equations with separable interactions of a finite rank for calculating many properties of complex nuclei and spectroscopic factors of nuclear reactions is discussed. The Β+ decay of neutron-deficit nuclei, strength functions of (n,p) transitions and renormalization in nuclei of the constant of the axial-vector weak interaction have been described. The calculation of the low-lying vibrational states in deformed nuclei is given by the QPNM with monopole and qudrupole pairng and isoscalar and isovector p-h and p-p multipole interactions. Some experimental verifications of the cardinal differences between the QPNM and Interacting Boson Model (IBM) in describing some nonrotational states of doubly even deformed nuclei are given. 2 figs., 3 tabs., 24 refs
