Electron capture process in proton-alkali atom collisions
Description
The electron capture process in proton-alkali atom collisions is studied using the wave formulation of the impulse approximation. Differential and integral cross sections for electron capture from sodium into the ground state of hydrogen are calculated for incident energy varying from 50 to 500 keV. The results are compared with those from other available works. (author)
