X-ray electron spectroscopy investigation of 316L steel and Al-Mg-Sc alloy surfaces irradiated by 2 MeV electrons
Description
X-ray electron spectroscopy is used to study change of chemical composition of the surface of 316L steel and Al-2 wt.% Mg-0.4 wt% Sc alloy resulting from 2 MeV electron irradiation at different temperatures. Enrichment of near-the-surface layers of both materials with different component atoms was noticed, therewith the effect value depends on irradiation temperature and on the temperature of preliminary heat treatment
