Identification and categorisation of systems and components for in-service inspection of research reactors

Creators

  • 1. Radiation Safety Systems Div., Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, Mumbai (India)

Description

The safety of research reactors (RR) requires appropriate siting, design, construction, commissioning, operation, utilization and decommissioning. A number of requirements for safety of RR are the same or very similar to those for nuclear power plants (NPPs). Maintenance, surveillance and in-service inspection are to be carried out. The objectives of the surveillance programme are to confirm compliance with operating limits and conditions to detect and correct any anomalous condition before it significantly affects safety
