Description
Prospects of Imaging Plates (IP) application for fast neutron imaging have been investigated at specific conditions of radiography with a portable neutron generator. IP detectors containing IP (BAS MS) and different types of fast neutron converters have been developed and investigated. The paper describes imaging techniques, detector designs and performances. Spatial resolution of the detectors amounts to about 1 mm. Spatial heterogeneity of the IP detectors has been revealed. Image quality enhancement by superimposing and digital summing up radiographic images obtained simultaneously by a stack of identical detectors has been experimentally checked
