Electron-beam machines
Creators
- 1. Mitsubishi Electric Corp., Tokyo (Japan)
Description
Mitsubishi Electric manufactures two kinds of electron-beam machines: high-efficiency special-purpose moving-gun types (the Mitsubishi Electron-Beam Welder Series) that offer maximum flexibility for individual applications, and general-purpose types (the Mitsubishi Standard Mass-Production Series) that lower equipment costs. To boost the utility of these machines, Mitsubishi Electric has improved the beam performance, added new functions, improved the CNC machining-condition-control technology of the special-purpose models, developed a long-life cathode, implemented support for automated production lines, and realized more uniform evacuation times in the general-purpose models.
