Description

The exposure to radiation of patients and radiological personnel at the coronarography has been investigated. In five examinations very high doses on patients' skin was measured (in the range between 72 and 271 mGy). The assistant of the radiologist has been exposed to doses in the range between 0.12 and 0.45 mGy on the right arm. In comparison with other radiological methods, a significantly higher exposure of the thyroid gland of both the radiologist and the assistant were found (in the range between 0.06 and 0.76 mGy).
