Anisotropy of γ-GeTe electric properties
Description
Anisotropy of electric properties of rhombic γ-GeTe is investigated. Within the interval 77-750 K measured are the temperature dependence of components of tensors of rho electric resistance, α thermo emf and R Hall coefficient of Gesub(1-x) Tesub(x) rhombic monocrystal containing 50.9 at.% Te. Observed was rho, α and R anisotropy equal 0 above Tsub(c)=635 K, which corresponded to the crystal transition from rhombic (T < Te) into cubic (T > Te) phase. The value of electric properties anisotropy of rhombic γ-GeTe was less than that for rhombohedral α-GeTe, which is connected with different character of the splitting of L-extrema of GeTe valent band at rhombic and rhombohedral deformation at the phase transition
