Bimetallic glutaminates

Description
The systems: Ca2+-glutamic acid (H2Glu), Ca2+-Pr3+-H2Glu, Pr3+-H2Glu were studied by the method of pH-metric titration, making use of the method of mathematical simulation. Formation of bimetallic (binuclear) glutaminates containing both the same metal (Ca2+ or Pr3+) and different metals was ascertained. Approximate formation constants of the most probable complex forms are calculated. The problem of probing of Ca2+-containing biocomplexes using rare earth ions is discussed. 7 refs., 2 figs., 2 tabs
