Dynamics of CO molecular clouds in the galaxy
Description
The CO velocities were compared with those of stars whose orbits are perturbed by the gravitational potential in the spiral arms. This model allowed agreement with the CO velocities for stars with ''ages'' < or =30 x 106 years. Some evidence was found that the ''age'' required for agreement with the CO velocities increases with galactic longitude through the region observed
