Influence of ionizing radiation on the angiographic picture of malignant organ tumours

Angiographically detectable changes are discussed by means of numerous comparative angiograms made before and after radiotherapeutic measures for malignant organ tumours. These changes can be differentiated in early and late changes. Whereas early changes primarily consist of the pathological tumour vascularization, late changes of the vascular system are similar to the retrogression of those of arteriosclerosis. The diagnostic significance of check angiography is discussed. (author)
