Progress and problems on measurement of plasma renin activity

Description
The progress of measurement of plasma renin activity with reference to bioassay and radioimmunoassay was discussed. In addition, the frequency of low renin dependent essential hypertension among renin subgroups, which presently received a great deal of attention, the difference of results by the sensitivity of methods for measuring plasma renin activity, trial of selecting antihypertensive agents by the value of plasma renin activity, were discussed.
