Interpretation of the phase-shift analysis for the elastic π4He scattering

Description
Results of the energy-dependent phase-shift analysis of the elastic π4He scattering in the energy range Tsub(π)=0-300 MeV are discussed. A decrease in the contribution from the elastic scattering to the total π4He scattering cross section has been detected in the low-energy region (Tsub(π) < 50 MeV), the S-wave partial inelastic cross section is suppressed in the energy region Tsub(π) approximately 50-80 MeV. The results are compared with the calculations within the optical model and the dispersion relations
