Description
Diffusion and solubility of 51Cr in silver single crystals are investigated in the temperature range 976 to 1231 K using the serial sectioning technique. Solubility Xsub(Cr) and diffusion coefficient D can be described by temperature functions. At the melting point the solubility of chromium is as small as 100 ppm. The results of the chromium diffusion cannot be explained in terms of the current models of impurity diffusion. (author)
