Coincidence gamma spectroscopy in the Tandem accelerator of Strasbourg - The 219Ac
Description
The study of the 219Ac nuclei by experiments performed in the 18MV MP Tandem accelerator of the Nuclear Research Center in Strasbourg is presented. The data acquisition system, the experimental arrangement for γ-γ and γ-γ-γ coincidence measurements, and the experimental arrangement for angular distribution measurement are described. The 219Ac was formed by fusion-evaporation process which promotes the formation of high angular momentum states. The 13C + 209Bi->-> 219Ac + 3n and 15N + 208Pb-> 219Ac + 4n reactions were done. The 219Ac was identified by measurements of delayed alpha spectroscopy using pulsed beam. The investigation on gamma excitation function using energy beams between 63 and 73 MeV was done. The experimental data on the 13C + 209Bi reaction are analysed. (M.C.K.)

Apresenta-se o estudo do Nucleo 219Ac, atraves de experiencias realizadas no acelerador MP Tandem de 18 MV do Centro de Pesquisas Nucleares de Estrasburgo. Descrevem-se o sistema de aquisicao de dados, o arranjo experimental para medidas de coincidencia γ-γ e γ-γ-γ, e o arranjo experimental para medidas da distribuicao angular. O 219Ac foi formado atraves do processo de fusao-evaporacao que favorece a formacao de estados de altos momentos angulares. Realizaram-se as reacoes: 13C + 209Bi -> 219Ac + 4n e 15N + 208Pb -> 219Ac + 4n. O 219Ac foi identicado por medidas de espectroscopia alfa retardada usando-se feixe pulsado. Foi feita a investigacao da funcao excitacao gama usando-se feixe de energia entre 63 e 73 MeV. Os dados experimentais da reacao 13C 209Bi foram analizados. (M.C.K.)Additional details
