Control and data acquisition of remote ultrasonic probe manipulator through PC interface

A prototype of an equipment for remote manipulator of ultrasonic probe for periodic and statutory inspection of welded joints of the primary coolant circuit of the reactor was developed. The refinements were carried out in the mechanical design, and the control aspects, during progress of this work. A computerised data acquisition system is procured as a part of automated data processing ultrasonic equipment. P.C. compatible card and software package is developed to facilitate a user friendly interface, and accord more transparency to the system.
