Rb-Sr age of volcanites from the Bugula Mts. and its significance for the periodization of Variscian magmatism of Central Kazakhstan

Description
Isotope investigations into volcanites from the Bugula, located 120-150 km south of Karaganda, using Rb-Sr method are conducted. Measurements are performed using the MI-1320 mass spectrometer. 87Sr/86Sr ratio measurement error makes up ∼ 0.01%, 87Rb/86Sr ratio determination error is about 0.5%. It is shown that the volcanites investigated belong to the upper parts of the medium-lower parts of the upper carbonate
