Crack growth resistance as associated with crack resistance limit

Description
A conception of the Isub(R)-curve is suggested to analyze the resistance of the construction to a stable crack growth on the basis of the crack resistance limit criterion. Application of the crack resistance limit permits a character of the destruction to be neglected.Cumulative diagrams of the crack resistance limits are plotted for a number of thin-plate materials and critical lengths of the crack under soft loading are determined for different initial lengths of the cracks in order to illustrate the suggested conception
