Description
Differential diagnosis of the subtype of 'fibrolamellar liver carcinoma' (FLC) as an independent morphological unit within hepatocellular carcinomas is important, since FLC patients have a clearly better prognosis after adequate surgical therapy. Diagnosis is mostly effected preoperatively using CT, sonography, selective angiography and histology. (orig./TRV)

Die Abgrenzung des Subtyps 'fibrolamellaeres Leberkarzinom' (FLC) als eigenstaendige morphologische Einheit innerhalb der hepatozellulaeren Karzinome erscheint insofern wichtig, als Patienten mit FLC nach adaequater chirurgischer Therapie eine deutlich bessere Prognose haben. Die Diagnose erfolgt durch Sonographie, CT, selektive Angiographie und Histologie meistens schon praeoperativ. (orig./TRV)Additional details
