Description

For a more systematic discussion about the fuel reprocessing plant at Wackersdorf, the colloquium tried to cover the most important questions put forward in the controversies: economic efficiency and energy-political needs; safety and ecological repercussions; inner safety and consequences for basic rights and the regional economic structure; majority decisions and participation of the population of the region. Elements of evaluation are the conservation of resources, health, economic efficiency, and citizens' rights of liberty. The related basic ethical questions are considered. The 18 contributions are individually recorded in the data base. (DG)

Abstract (German)

Zur Systematisierung der Diskussion um die WAA wurde versucht, die wichtigsten in den Kontroversen thematisierten Fragen abzudecken: Wirtschaftlichkeit und energiepolitische Begruendung; Sicherheit und oekologische Auswirkungen; innere Sicherheit und Auswirkungen auf die Grundrechte und auf die regionale Wirtschaftsstruktur; Mehrheitsentscheidungen und Mitwirkung der regional Betroffenen. In die Beurteilung gehen Bewertungskriterien wie Ressourcenschonung, Gesundheit, Wirtschaftlichkeit und buergerliche Freiheitsrechte ein. Die damit verknuepften ethischen Grundfragen werden beruecksichtigt. Die 18 Beitraege sind einzeln in die Datenbasis aufgenommen. (DG)
