Description

Thin films of YBa2 Cu3 O7-x (YBCO) have been deposited on <110>Nd Ga O3 and <100>Mg O by a Xe Cl excimer laser evaporation process from a stoichiometric 123 target. A systematic study on the influence of the preparation conditions (laser energy, target-substrate distance, oxygen pressure, flowing O2 flux, deposition time, substrate temperature and in-situ thermal treatment procedure) on the superconducting properties has been performed. By using the optimum preparation process, high-quality fully epitaxial YBa2Cu3O7-x thin films with zero resistivity at 89.2 K were obtained. (author) 5 Figs., 1 Tab., 15 Refs
