Space research in the Netherlands 1978

In 1960, the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences established a committee with the task of coordinating space research in the Netherlands and maintaining the necessary international contacts. This committee, usually called GROC, has instituted four working groups, in which most of the Netherlands space research is concentrated. These groups are: Working Group for Solar and Stellar Space Research, Working Group for Cosmic Rays, Working Group for Photometry and the working Group for Satellite Geodesy. General information on space research in the Netherlands Anno 1978 is given. Detailed data about the working groups, their work during 1978 and their programmes are presented, together with a survey of their scientific publications. (Auth.)
