Uranium cold fragmentation by thermal and fast neutrons

Description
Mass-energy spectra of 235U cold fragmentation induced by thermal and fast (En=1 MeV) neutrons were obtained. Effect of the conservation of fissile nucleus excitation energy collected in the saddle point up to scission point was observed. It means that for Z-even target irradiated by thermal neutrons it is impossible to reach the region of true-cold-fragmentation. (orig.)
