Inner shell electrons in superheavy quasiatoms
Description
This paper considers how transitory quasiatoms can become the objects of real physical investigation and not just of ''gedankenexperiments''. Some predictions of theory for atoms alpha-Z is greater than 1 that might elucidate three specified groups of problems are offered. The experimentally accessible messengers of superheavy atoms are enumerated. The investigation of superheavy quasiatoms can convert from gedankenexperiments to real ones depending upon a ''trick'' of nature, which is characterized by the momenta of innermost electrons becoming much larger than their mean momentum in the K-shell of the separated atoms, high momentum components available next to the charge center of the combined system, and ls-sigma excitations only in systems alpha-Z is greater than 1 at very small internuclear distances R. Finally experimental methods and results are described together with all the questions not yet answered
