Electromagnetic field excitation on the injection of a modulated electron beam into a plasma waveguide
Description
Problem of generation of electromagnetic fields induced with a relativistic electron beam modulated in density during its injection into a waveguide filled with cold plasma is considered. Conditions of resonance interaction of a modulated beam and proper modes of a plasma waveguide were determined, increments of growing nondissipative and dissipative beam instabilities have been found as well as propagation group velocities of excited wave packets
