High-voltage photo-voltage effect in CdxHg1-xTe polycrystal layers
Description
The effect of X-ray,electron, laser and gamma radiation on photoelectric properties of CdxHg1-x semiconducting layers is studied. It is shown that the effect of anomalously high photo-voltage (APV) is of photo-voltage nature. Photo-voltage of layers increases up to a definite dose of gamma radiation, thereafter it starts decreasing. The data obtained can be used to increase fast response of photo-electron voltage transformers and other devices making use of APV-effect
