Purification of strontium from calcium in the process of concentration by evaporation of nitrate solutions
Creators
Description
The possibility of Sr(NO3)2 crystals separation with their simultaneous purification from calcium by evaporation method of strontium-containing solutions was studied. Initial solutions consisted of the following compounds: 14.6 % of Ca(NO3)2, 13 % of Sr(NO3)2, 2.3 % of HNO3. The evaporation was conducted at 100-110 deg C with constant mixing. It was shown that during the process of evaporation, concentration degree being equal to 3, the strontium nitrate can be obtained with 94 % degree of strontium extraction into crystals and permissible calcium content of 1.2 % RT with 94 % degree
