Description
Optical/electrical characterization of transient plasmas generated by high-fluence (up to 1 kJ/cm2) laser ablation of various targets revealed as a general feature the splitting of the plume in two structures. In order to account for this behavior, a new fractal hydrodynamic model has been developed in a non-differentiable space-time. The model successfully retrieves the kinetics of the two structures.
