Tubes for heat exchangers of ferritic stainless steel

Description

Experience of using ferritic stainless steels for tubes of heat exchangers at HPP and NPP in the USA is considered. Chemical composition of steels and results of their tests are given. It is shown that ferritic stainless steels, advantageous as compared to austenitic ones will be widely used at power plants especially at NPPs and they will permit to essentially increase efficiency of heat exchangers
