Electron-stimulated lithium and sodium ion desorption from a tungsten surface with monoatomic silicon film coating

  • 1. AN SSSR, Leningrad (USSR). Fiziko-Tekhnicheskij Inst.

Description

Using a static magnetic mass spectrometer connected to an energy analyzer with a delayed electric field, electron-stimulated lithium and sodium ion desorption (ESD) from a tungsten surface, coated by a monoatomic silicon film, is studied. The ESD dependences can be explained on the basis of a model, taking into account electron density redistribution between an adsorbed particle and the surface to create Coulomb repulsion between particles and local surface field relaxation
