Heat transfer in a flowing-down thin layer of a viscous electric-conducting liquid in a magnetic field

Description

The increasing interest to the investigations of MHD-fluxes with a free surface relates to the possible application of the results obtained in plants of controlled thermonuclear fusion. This paper presents the investigation on heat transfer of a laminar running-down thin layer of the viscous electrically conducting liquid in a magnetic field flow complanared with a plane. It is shown that with the increase of the magnetic field decreases the hydrodynamic resistance. Dependences of temperature distribution on the Nusselt number value are obtained
