Description

A group of persons exposed to radiation for professional reasons was monitored in EIR by means of thyroid and urin tests during one year. To determine the incorporation risk at the working-place wipe tests and air filter samples were carried out daily during the same time. The activities determined in the urin vary between 0,3% and 6% of the thyroid depot. The urin measurements are suitable for the manifestation of the incorporation. But to evaluate these the individual iod-excretion-rate must be determined before. The results of the measurements, the measuring devices, and the methods are explained. Incorporation was caused by improper storage of preparations and wastes, insufficient aeration, and imperfect methods. (orig./HP)

Ueber einen Zeitraum von einem Jahr wurde eine Gruppe beruflich strahlenexponierter Personen im EIR mittels Schilddruesen- und Urinmessungen routinemaessig ueberwacht. Zur Ermittlung eines Inkorporationsrisikos am Arbeitsplatz wurden parallel dazu taeglich Wischtests und Luftfilterproben erhoben. Die im Urin bestimmten Aktivitaeten schwanken bei den verschiedenen Personen zwischen 0,3% und 6% des Schilddruesendepots. Die Urinmessungen sind zur Feststellung einer Inkorporation gut geeignet. Zu deren Bewertung muss zuvor jedoch die individuelle Jodausscheidungsrate bestimmt werden. Die Ergebnisse der Messungen, die Messeinrichtungen und die Methoden werden erlaeutert. Ursachen fuer Inkorporationen waren unsachgemaesse Lagerung von Praeparaten und Abfaellen, unzureichende Belueftung und mangelhafte Arbeitsmethoden. (orig./HP)
