Pulmonary adverse effects and graphical changes of radiation pneumonitis (RP) after stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) for lung tumors

  • 1. Gifu Univ., School of Medicine, Gifu, Gifu (Japan)

Description

We evaluated pulmonary adverse effects and CT appearance of RP after SBRT (48 Gy/4 fr) and 3D-CRT (60 Gy/10 fr) for lung tumors. Incidences of Grade ≥2RP were 11.6% and 10.5% respectively. No pretreatment factors in SBRT were associated with Grade ≥2RP. The minimal lung doses to the RP area in Grade ≥2RP patients 1-2 months after radiotherapy (RT) were significantly lower (<30 Gy). We should carefully observe CT appearance of the minimal lung dose area 1-2 months after RT. (author)
