Spin and g factor of the 40-keV level in 45Ti
- 1. Centre de Recherches Nucleaires et Universite Louis Pasteur, 67037 Strasbourg, France
Description
The g factor of the second excited state at 40 keV in 45Ti has been measured to be -0.03 +- 0.01 using the 42Ca(α,n)45Ti reaction and the time differential spin-precession method. The spin assignment J = 5/2 was made for the level using a statistical compound nucleus calculation. The experimental g factor is in disagreement with several theoretical predictions
