Antiferromagnetic structure of EuAl2
Creators
- 1. Institut Laue-Langevin, 38 - Grenoble (France)
Description
The magnetic structure of the cubic Laves-phase compound EuAl2 has been determined by powder neutron diffraction. It is simple antiferromagnetic, a behaviour quite anomalous within the ferromagnetic series RAl2 (R = Rare Earth). This exception seems to be related to the divalent character of europium in this compound. (author)
