Mathematical representation of photon beam output factors for tele-isotopic machines and linear accelerators

Description

The photon beam output at point in free air or in a medium due to teletherapy machine is a function of (a) the strength of source (b) the primary and scattered component available at the end of the beam collimating system and (c) the scattered contributions from the medium in consideration. A study is performed to analyse output factors for different model cobalt machines and accelerators in an attempt to generalize the concepts involved
