Description
Progress has been achieved in total α determination. The standard deviation of the averages of the lab mean values has further decreased noticeably for all tests. The total β determination was improved for all tests. This can particularly be noticed in the decrease in the standard deviations of averages of the lab mean values. The residual β-activity is determined. The Sr-90 determination and the Sr-89 determination in particular, still present a problem for the various monitoring stations. Whereas the measurement of Sr-90 can be effected more or less satisfactorily, the values obtained for Sr-89, especially in the case of low contents, must be regarded as being very unsatisfying. The determination of individual nuclides by means of gamma spectrometry was effected satisfactorily within the energy range of 50 to 1500 keV. Thus the average lab-related deviations for nuclides measured within the overall energy range was below 3% for 16% and 30% of the participants respectively. An average deviation of more than 20% could only be observed in one case. (orig./HP)

Bei der Durchfuehrung der Gesamt-α-Bestimmung wurden Fortschritte erzielt. Die Standardabweichung der Mittelwerte der Labormittelwerte ist bei allen Proben weiter deutlich zurueckgegangen. Die Gesamt-β-Bestimmung wurde bei allen Proben verbessert durchgefuehrt, was sich insbesondere in der Abnahme der Standardabweichungen der Mittelwerte der Labormittelwerte ausdrueckt. Die Bestimmung der Rest-β-Aktivitaet wird ausgefuehrt. Die Sr-90-Bestimmung und insbesondere die Sr-89-Bestimmung bereiten einzelnen Messstellen nach wie vor Probleme. Waehrend die Messung von Sr-90 im grossen und ganzen noch recht zufriedenstellend ausgefuehrt wird, muessen die fuer Sr-89 erhaltenen Werte, insbesondere bei niedrigen Gehalten als ausgesprochen unbefriedigend angesehen werden. Die Einzelnuklidbestimmung mittels γ-Spektrometrie wurde im Energiebereich von 50 bis 1500 keV zufriedenstellend durchgefuehrt. So liegen die mittleren laborbezogenen Abweichungen fuer im gesamten Energiebereich gemessene Nuklide bei 16% bzw. 30% der Teilnehmer unterhalb von 3%. Eine mittlere Abweichung oberhalb von 20% trat nur in einem einzigen Fall auf. (orig./HP)
