AAEC nuclear power projections

This article presents estimates of the world's future nuclear power capacity developed by the AAEC during the May-June period of 1980. Methods of projection are outlined. Figures for the years 1979, 1985, 1990, 2000 and 2010 are given for 46 countries. Although the estimates are lower than those derived the previous year, with most of the drop attributable to changes from the Western World countries, particularly the USA, nuclear capacity is expected to increase fairly continuously
