Reaction of trialkylstannylacetylenes with perfluoroiodoalkanes

Description
It is known that upon heating or UV irradiation perfluoroiodoalkanes R/sub F/I split hexaalkyldistannanes R3SnSnR3, giving trialkylstannyl iodides and trialkylperfluoroalklstannanes R/sub F/SnR3. The authors showed with reference to trimethylstannylphenylacetylenes that upon IV irradiation perfluoroiodoalkanes react with trialkylstannylacetylenes to give primarily perfluoroalkylacetylenes. Yields of target products reach 50%
