Reduction of metal carbonyl derivatives of lanthanides by naphtalene anion-radicals
- 1. AN SSSR, Kazan. Inst. Organicheskoj i Fizicheskoj Khimii
Description
The methods of UV and IR spectroscopy are used to show the possibility of reduction of metal carbonyl derivatives of trivalent lanthanides Ln[M(CO)3L]3 (where Ln=Sm, Yb; M=Co, Mo; L=CO, C5H5) under the action of naphtalene anion - radicals. Derivatives of bivalent lanthanides are prepared in the THF medium at room temperature with the 66-78% yield
