Plasma hard surfacing in fitting fabrication for power engineering
Creators
Description
Developed are the Fe-Cr-Ni-Si and Fe-Cr-Ni-Si-Mo alloys for weld-surfacing of sealed surfaces of shutters in boiler fittings operating under severe service conditions. It is found that the alloys containing 3-3.5% Si, 24-27% Cr and 1.5-2% Mo meet the requirements on hardness and resistance to tearing. The alloys are hardened by thermal treatment (750-900 deg C, 1.5-2 hs). It is proposed to apply the alloys developed for plasma surfacing using the current-carrying additional wire
