Evaporator
Description
The evaporator described uses a primary fluid to evaporate a secondary one. It includes a vertical shell, a tube plate located near the bottom end of this shell, a cluster formed by a given number of U tubes fitted to the tube plate and in which flows a primary heating fluid so as to form a hot and a cold branch. A sleeve encompasses the tube cluster so as to form an annular chamber between the sleeve and the shell. There is a flow distribution plate adjacent to, but clear of the tube plate, so as to form a return space communicating with the annular chamber. An extraction tube is connected to the shell for withdrawal of the secondary fluid. The distribution plate is fitted with an aperture that is central in relation to the hot branch of the tube cluster, this extraction tube extending through the space between the tube plate and the distribution plate. This tube plate has a section transversal to the aperture and provided with a number of apertures for withdrawing the secondary fluid from the area adjacent to the tube plate below the opening of the flow distribution plate. Abstract (French)
On presente un evaporateur utilisant un fluide primaire pour evaporer un fluide secondaire. Il comprend une coque verticale, une plaque tubulaire disposee adjacente a l'extremite inferieure de cette coque, un faisceau forme d'un certain nombre de tubes en U qui sont montes dans la plaque tubulaire, et dans lesquels circule un fluide primaire de chauffage afin de former une branche chaude et une branche froide. Une chemise entoure le faisceau de tube dans la coque mais est espacee de cette derniere, de maniere a former une chambre annulaire comprise entre la chemise et la coque. Une plaque de repartition de debit est adjacente a la plaque tubulaire mais espacee de celle-ci afin de former un parcours de retour communiquant avec la chambre annulaire. Un tube d'extraction est raccorde a la coque pour le retrait du fluide secondaire. La plaque de repartition presente une ouverture centrale par rapport a la branche chaude du faisceau de tubes, ce tube d'extraction s'etendant dans l'espace compris entre la plaque tubulaire et la plaque de repartition. Ce tube presente une partie transversale a l'ouverture, partie pourvue d'un certain nombre d'orifices destines a retirer le fluide secondaire de la region adjacente a la plaque tubulaire au-dessous de l'ouverture de la plaque de repartition de debit.
