Matrix elements of the residual interaction for 208Pb determined from experimental data

Description
Wave functions for excited states of 208Pb have been determined from en experimental data. The wave functions have been assumed to consist only of one particle - one hole excitations. It is found that the Kuo-Brown residual interactions give the best agreement with experimental data
