The spectral emissivity at the electron cyclotron frequency

  • 1. Maryland Univ., College Park (USA). Dept. of Physics and Astronomy

Description

The spectral emissivity in a magnetized plasma at frequencies close to the electron cyclotron frequency is calculated for waves emitted parallel or perpendicular to the static magnetic field. In the perpendicular case, the temperature is supposed to be low enough to keep νsub(th)2/C2 small, but no restrictions are imposed on the electron density. (author)
