There are two operating radioactive waste repositories in Hungary. The regulatory oversight of these repositories was changed from 1 July, 2014. After the entry into force of the new governmental decree, the Hungarian Atomic Energy Authority started the licensing and inspection activities and the development of guidelines. (author)
