Nucleon form factors in the relativistic quark model. Behaviour at small and intermediate momentum transfers and QCD asymptotics

Description
Nucleon form factors in the region of relatively small-momentum transfers (Q2≤3(GeV/c)2) are shown to be described well by the simplest quark diagram without gluonic exchanges. Perturbative contributions to the magnetic form factors for Q2-values attainable in present experiments are negligible and opposite in sign to the experiment. Thus the model predicts the change of the sign of nucleon magnetic formfactors at large Q2
